IRONMATT SEPTEMBER DINNER & AUCTION
What an unusual and unsettling time we find ourselves in! A tiny crown shaped virus invaded, completely changing our daily lives and rendering our futures an unsettling patchwork of guesses informed by ever changing data and advice.
Imagine if your child was already dealing with another tiny invader,
the malignant cells of a brain or spinal cord tumor!
In these uncertain times, one thing has remained constant. Our IronKids continue to battle their cancers through masks, with food and resource scarcities, with insecure income sources in the home, and often without the comfort and support of family and friends who are afraid to come around for fear of infecting an already compromised body.
IronMatt needs your support more than ever!
Unfortunately, our largest fundraiser, the 12th Annual Dinner and Auction, scheduled for September 23rd at Pier Sixty, must be canceled. We find ourselves in a conundrum; how to raise the $300,000 we need to support our Family Assistance and Grant Programs without a avenue for that fundraising effort.
This year we are simply asking for a donation.
Please consider going to the website or sending a check today. We understand these are uncertain financial times and appreciate any support. Our hope is all of our former donors, sponsors and attendees will consider giving at least 75% of what they donated last year.
For those of you who look forward to the irreplaceable golf experiences, like The Goose Invitational, and other auction items available only through IronMatt, don’t worry.
There will be a small online auction.
Login anytime from September 14 - 17th ending at 10:00 pm to bid on items or donate.
Link will be posted just previous to the event
During that time, there will be a link to an encore showing of The Matthew Larson Story: A Family Interview. Please watch that moving video as reminder of Matt’s story and why we continue to need your donations to support the IronMatt mission.
Please place Thursday, September 23, 2021 on your calendars.
Now, more than ever, we look forward to connecting with you in person next year. We also look forward to coming together as a community united in a common purpose and eagerly await a time when we can look you in the eye, shake your hand and say,
“Thank you for supporting families in their fight against pediatric brain tumors!”
Be well and God bless!
