IronKids are the direct recipients of generous donations through the IronMatt Family Assistance Program. Social workers from institutions across the United States apply on behalf of families to receive financial assistance. The Foundation pays third parties directly – rent, mortgage, utility bills and wigs are examples of some the bills that will be considered.
The Family Assistance Program has fulfilled IronMatt’s mission to financially support families dealing with pediatric brain tumors since 2007. To date, we have helped over 900 families in 45 states who are fighting this devastating disease. With 2017 marking IronMatt’s 10th Anniversary, the Family Assistance Program has been focusing on the ongoing support of local families, granting requests for various household bills on a regular monthly basis. This change comes with the hope of developing a much deeper connection and support system for families dealing with this dreadful disease.
