The Matthew Larson Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Matthew Larson Scholarship Fund applications. This separately funded and distinct Scholarship Fund annually awards four one thousand dollar scholarships to students from The Ramapo Indian Hills Regional H.S. District. The scholarships will be awarded to two Indian Hills High School seniors and two Ramapo High School seniors. Click here for more information.
The scholarships will be awarded in memory of Matthew Larson, a RIH district student who attended Woodside Avenue Elementary School in Franklin Lakes. Matthew died in April 2007 at the age of seven, after a five year battle with pediatric brain tumors. The scholarships will be awarded to the four RIH district students that best reflect the characteristics that defined Matthew Larson’s short life.
COURAGE STRONG MIND BIG HEART
POSITIVE ATTITUDE NEVER GIVE UP
"We are constantly amazed by and thankful for the continued love and generous support of the RIH community" said Kelly Larson, Matthew’s mother and President of the Matthew Larson Foundation, aka IronMatt.org. "In less than two years our foundation has become one of the leading players in the fight against pediatric brain tumors, which are the number one cancer killer of children. This community has been with us every step of the way"
